Island of Mystery

A small craft could be seen off the horizon of the island. It slowly floated towards the island. It looked like the make shift sale was destroyed and the crafts provisions seemed to be non existent. Two figures lied on the raft looking like there were exhausted.

One of the figures was a young woman that looked to be about 21. Her clothing looked worse for wear. The other person on the other hand looked like he was used to life on the open seas. Wearing simple clothing that seemed like it had just come out of the wash.

The craft landed on the beach and got stuck there. The beach looked like it went on for a while and the edge of the beach leading inland was a thick forest.

A couple hours latter then man started to stir.

The man sat up. "Oh... my head. It's like seasickness all over again... Where... where are we?"

The woman didn't bother to sit up as she shrugged and stared into the sky. "I have no map, no compass, a watch that died an hour ago, and no clue."
She was silent for a moment. "While you're up there, do you see anything?"

The an watched curiously as a small blue bird landed on the rafts mast. The birds eyes seemed to be analyzing the man as it stared at his.

"Not really. Just a devil-bird. Oh, and an island."

"Island," Rin summarized. "Land. That's good news."
She moved to sit up and moved her head sharply to the left, causing noticeable cracks to be heard there. She stared out into the waves as she corrected her head's position. "What kind of island?"

Zach couldn't see much as he looked over the beach. The beached seemed to go on for awhile on both directions. He couldn't really see the end of all of it. A sea of trees was in front of them after the beach and right above the tree line Zach sold see the faintest edge of something tall.

"A tree-ey island. Big one, too."

"Okay, I'll look." She rubbed her eyes and turned to look at the island. The beach looked like a reasonable landing spot. It looked like there would be food in some manner there. And after that, likely a hammock to be created. She began to plot the various ways of constructing a camp.

The bird looked at the girl moving and flew off spooked by the sudden movement.

"So... I'm hungry. Really hungry. Think you can find some food?"

"Probably." Rin stretched and eased out her shoulders. "You probably could too if you tried."

“What are you talking about?”asked a young woman as a blue bird landed on her arm. The room she was in was shrouded in darkness except for the single hole in the wall where the bird had just flown in. The hole made a shaft of light that went start over the cloaked persons head.

Back with our two heroes.

“Are you sure these are edible?” asked the man now half way up one of the trees.

"Well, they're yellow.. shaped like boomerangs... Yup. I'm totally sure it's safe." Rin watched him climb. He was fine. He made it that far without much incident. It was rather convenient that bananas were there... though... that meant they were in tropical waters. More likely to find poisonous creatures later on... That's fun. Best not to mention that right now... And make sure a fire was going before sunset.

"I mean, they look good and all, but I'm still not certain you enjoy my company. You never laugh at my jokes." The man nearly slips, hanging on for dear life.

"Sorry. I'm hungry.. and a bit tired. It's nothing personal, I have a tendency to focus on one thing at a time." Rin glanced around but her gaze returned to the bananas. "You're doing great."

The commotion wasn't something that commonly happened on this particular island. A pair of eyes peered out from among the trees at the two people trying to get the bananas.

The man in the tree seemed to be having problems as he clung to deer life from the branch he was holding on to.

"Really? And here I was thinking you just didn't like me. Don't worry, I'll get these... foods. Just gotta get up a little more..." The man slowly climbed the last portion of the tree, unsure of how he got pulled into being the one to climb the tree. "Why am I up here, again?"

Rin shrugged a little. "I think you volunteered. You kind of just started climbing..."

A small lion left the safety of the bush and slowly made its way around the two people that were trying to get the fruit out of the tree. The young lion sat behind the two turning its head to the side. The two people didn't seem to notice the lion.

The man looked down. "Hey... uh... Rin? Could you do me a favour? Don't turn around. And maybe start climbing?"

"Don't turn, but climb. What, do you see something?" Of course, she turned to look. Now she was curious. And whatever it was, she would rather face it than have her back to it.

The lion eyed the two but jumped back as the female turned around. Unfortunately for the feline he was rather close to the water and fell. Sadly the kitty couldn't swim and starting flailing wildly.

"Well, that's one way to do it."

"Oh-" She took off at a jog. Something fell into the water and it looked to be a furry creature. She stopped close to the cliff but slowly edged closer to look off. There was a circle of white in the water below. Was that where it was?
