Christmas Carol Empty Christmas Carol

In honor of the Holiday season, we are now scribing this performance for those who will read it. We beg that you will enjoy it and that you run with it in any way possible. Enjoy.

Scrooge marched quickly through shoveled streets and past the buildings along each side. The head was kept low and the top hat was down securely over the bun tied at the base of the head. The people around avoided eye contact for the most part but did seem to go a bit silent as they noticed the passing and the quiet movement of the cloak over the wet cobblestone. At a point the figure made it to a wooden store marked to the side Scrooge and Marley. Of the two names, only one was alive, and this was Scrooge.
The door shut with a heavy sound, but the temperature of the room felt almost distinctly colder than the outside of the building. The fire burning in the stove was low at best, providing some heat, but it didn't even seem to be there.
"Good evening, Ms. Scrooge," an employee muttered under his breath the greeting. However, the tone of this seemed to be mostly ignored.
"Evening." She removed the top hat and set it quickly onto the rack, soon after placing her coat just with it. Scrooge kept the scarf in employment which trailed behind her as she walked briskly to her desk at the back of the room.

“Good evening Mr. Scrooge” said Ganendorf. Yet again he was ignored and she just went on to her work. Psh one day ill run this joint he thought before getting back to work.

The door opens again, closing after. "Hey, anybody got a jacket? It's a bit cold." The jacket hanging moves, seemingly on its own, across the room. "Nevermind. How about a scarf?"

"Mr Griffin," Scrooge spoke dryly from the desk, not missing a step in her work as she spoke to the newest arrival. "You would do well to remember proper attire in this weather is necessary in order to avoid situations like these."

Ganendorf looked down at his battle armorer. “Is this stuff appropriate?”

Jack pocketed a pen set sitting on a counter. "This is true, but where's the fun in that?" He was now sporting a hat, scarf, and a rather nice pair of shoes.

"Fun is not a factor of employment, if you would remember." Scrooge moved aside a few papers in favor of some that needed checking again. "Now, if you would please get back to work this day might end productively."
The fire seemed to flicker in the stove.

"Now where's your Christmas spirit? 'tis the season and all? Aren't you suppose' to be all 'charitable' and 'agreeable' and such? Where's the Scrooge; Christmas Edition, eh?" The scarf and hat glided down to a rest on a desk.

A dry chuckle was heard over the shuffling of papers. "Christmas edition is the same as any other edition, Mr. Griffin. I would suggest you return to your work."
There were few other noises in the pause as she finished signing another piece of paper. "And Mr Ganendorf? Try not to grumble. Noise carries very well in these blasted walls."
